Named after horticulturalist Sir Harry Veitch, who sought out exotic plants from faraway lands for his wealthy London clients, Harry’s on Green Lane is a fun and quirky setting for a meal in Bowral. The restaurant is brimming with greenery, wicker chairs, marble tables, bookshelves stocked with antique reads and travel memorabilia. Come winter, a roaring fireplace also adds to the charm.

Open 7 days a week with two sittings at lunch, as well as two sittings for dinner on Friday and Saturday nights. Harry’s specialises in provincial cuisine. Accompanied by an international wine list, classic dishes range from housemade soup and truffle arancini to crab linguine and braised brisket.
