Nimmitabel is a small rural township on the Great Dividing Range. Settled in the 1850s, it was once known as Nimity Bell, a name said to mean the place where many waters start. Explore the historic village including Geldmacher House and Mill and St Andrew’s Catholic Church. In 1959 Nimmitabel was used by Warner Brothers as one of the locations for the filming of Jon Cleary’s novel, The Sundowners.
