Explore the tranquil waters of the Tomaga River near Batemans Bay in your choice of single or double kayaks.
Hire or “self-guided experiences” are perfect for singles, families, groups, kids birthday parties, and staff outings.
Your kayak journey includes instruction, all equipment, and use of waterproof bags for your belongings. Search for smooth spotted stingrays as they feed at the Region X Boatshed, or watch the Pelicans compete for the feast – it’s well worth a visit!
This family-run business offers phone and online bookings with a hire base in Mossy Point, 20 minutes south of Batemans Bay, and 15 minutes north of Moruya on the unspoilt south coast of New South Wales.
Once in Mossy Point find the Region X Boatshed by following the blue “kayak hire” signs to the boat ramp. Open every day in the school holidays and other times by appointment. The best place to hire a stable, sit-on-top, single or double kayak, and SUP’s You can choose to hire for one hour up to full day.

Choose to hire bikes and explore the area at your own pace. Bike paths, lookouts, beaches, bush, dirt trails.
Hire includes maps, locks, instruction and “Giant” Comfort mountain bikes. Hire available to and from the Boatshed in Mossy point only.
You get your choice of single or double kayaks, all equipment, a lesson, dry bag for your gear, a map and away you go exploring this safe estuary, its clear, clean water, mangroves, tidal flats and various creatures that inhabit the area including stingrays, crabs, fish, eagle rays and water birds.
