Experience the wonders of Ganguddy-Dunns Swamp in the Wollemi National Park from a stable kayak or stand up paddleboard. Marvel in awe at the fascinating landscape as you wind through striking rock formations, stunning sandstone gorges and picturesque woodlands: the best way to appreciate the unique natural beauty of this place is from the water.

Operating daily during school holidays and on weekends from September to April.

Kayaks (singles and doubles) and Stand up Paddle Boards are available.

On a protected and spectacular stretch of the pristine Cudgegong River, the base is situated at the boat ramp, roughly in the middle. From there, paddlers can head upstream or downstream and return in around an hour, or explore the whole area in a two-hour hire.

No booking is required for hire, just come and see them when you’re ready to paddle, however as there is no internet at Ganguddy, onsite payments by cash only, please.

Southern Cross Kayaking also offer guided kayak tours.

Wildlife you may encounter during your paddle includes wallabies, purple swamp hens, lyrebirds, long-necked turtles, musk ducks and you might even glimpse a platypus!

Southern Cross Kayaking is a family-owned business based in the stunning World Heritage-listed Wollemi National Park NSW, 3.5 hours from Sydney.

Operators Cindy and John are passionate about offering visitors the opportunity to escape, explore and experience the unique landscape of Ganguddy-Dunns Swamp from the water, with their fleet of stable kayaks and stand up paddleboards.

Single and double kayaks and stand up paddleboards are available for hire and self-exploration.

Guided tours are also available providing information on the fascinating natural and human history of the area. Prices include hire of boat, paddle and safety equipment, pre-paddle safety briefing, map and paddling instruction.

Operating daily during NSW School holidays from September to April, and on weekends in between. Check the website or phone the number provided for dates and details. (*Please note no internet or EFT facilities available for payment on site.)
