Mission Beach Resort is centrally located in Wongaling Beach, close to the local Woolworths, and is only 400 metres to Wongaling Beach.
Spread out over almost 12 acres, the Mission Beach Resort is the premier accommodation venue along the coast line between Townsville and Cairns, with four swimming pools on site. Built in the late 1970s, the resort was originally only a local pub. The first accommodation rooms were built mid 1980s, just before Cyclone Winifred crossed and devastated North Queensland.
With the ability to accommodate the needs of an extensive array of guests, the resort is a popular destination for corporate travellers throughout the week and families and leisure guests on the weekends and holidays.
The Mission Beach Resort has 68 guest rooms in total. These consist of one and two-bedroom apartments, deluxe rooms, deluxe family rooms and studio rooms.
