Wild Heart Farm
Where To Stay Julatten, Mareeba, Queensland
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp, below is the information provided by the Host regarding their offering.
Situated on just over 5 acres with a year-round full dam. We have sheep, chickens, guinea fowl, geese and a rescue horse, we welcome children and may have chicks to show them. Chickens geese and guinea fowl make noise of course! As do the cockatoos and kookaburras. Our farm is a 40-minute drive to Port Douglas or 30 minutes to heritage-listed Mossman Gorge. The local area is a bird watchers’ paradise with many species on our property. We also have wallabies in residence. We’re on the doorstep of Mt Lewis, which is one of the highest mountains in QLD. Loads of local wildlife trails to explore right on our doorstep, plus waterfalls, swimming holes, and everything the Tablelands offer. It’s usually a lot cooler up here than down on the coast, so camping should be more comfortable. We grow a lot of food (lots of tropical fruit) and should have some farm-fresh pastured eggs available too.
