The Hippy Hut Rainforest Retreat

The Hippy Hut is a self-contained cabin for four on a privately owned campsite overlooking a rainforest. It’s only eight minutes from Maleny, voted Australia’s most scenic rural town. You will have this entire campsite to yourself, they only take one booking at a time so that it is a relaxing and peaceful retreat on a Land for Wildlife property, with abundant wildlife. No pets allowed. Also family-friendly, we have tame chickens to feed and collect eggs, and kids love our climbing tree and swing. They provide a kids cupboard full of boardgames, art supplies, books and toys. They provide excellent pantry supplies in their cabin kitchen, including marshmallows for toasting around our campfire on the edge of the rainforest listening to owls, frogs and possums. You also have two bikes with helmets provided for scenic rides along their quiet, no through road. The Hippy Hut is surrounded by an orchard, bird-attracting gardens, various herbs to add to your meals. You may bring tents, campervans etc but there is no power. The cabin is also non powered.
