Sunrover Expeditions offers one, two and three day tours of Fraser Island and Moreton Island from Brisbane daily with a choice of camping, staying at Tangalooma Resort, Eurong Beach Resort or Kingfisher Bay Resort.

Tours depart from the Gold Coast, Brisbane Roma Street, Noosa Info Centre and Rainbow Beach. Sunrover Tours keeps their groups small and takes pride in offering personalised services. All tours offer the choice of staying in tents on camp sites or to upgrade to beach lodges or hotel accommodation, for example the Eco Award winning Kingfisher Bay Resort on Fraser Island.

Travel with your experienced driver and guide in a small group to explore Fraser Island.

Today you travel north past the Glasshouse Mountains to the seaside town and coloured sands of Rainbow Beach (morning tea stop own cost).

Look for Dolphins, Turtles and Dugong as you ferry cruise across bay to Fraser Island. Four Wheel Drive Fraser Island’s 75 mile surf beach with an eye out for dingoes, sea eagle and whale. Fresh buffet lunch at Eurong Beach Resort or picnic lunch at rainforest or lakes. Visit Lake McKenzie and Central Station Rainforest.

Pass the Glasshouse Mountains to Noosa River Ferry and Cooloola Coast Beach. At Rainbow Beach enjoy the coloured sands and surf. Take the ferry to Fraser Island and enjoy a surf beach, Lake Wabby, and a famous sand dune where you can swim, hike and turtle watch.

On the second day, visit Lake McKenzie where you can swim and snorkel in this unique lake. Visit Central Station magical rainforest. See a giant King Fern, world heritage satinay forest and the crystal clear waters of Wanggoolba Creek. Or four wheel drive to Eli Creek, Cathedral Beach and Indian Head.

Depart Brisbane on this fully guided off-road adventure, and eco-experience on Moreton Island. Sea Ferry Cruise from Scarborough International Harbour via Moreton Bay Marine Park. Spot dolphins, fish and sometimes whales, dugong and turtles. Arrive Moreton Island’s west coast and Sandy Beach – the world’s second largest sand island. Lakes, beautiful wildflowers and birdlife to remote surf beach. Take a short coastal forest walk to the sand filtered fresh waters of Blue Lagoon (window lake). Relax, swim, photo, snorkel.

Day Two – Start with a tropical breakfast overlooking beach and travel the beach to the big sandhills for sandboarding action. Spend the morning on the slopes, fully guided with all equipment supplied. Outdoor morning tea and on to the famous Tangalooma shipwrecks. Snorkel among tropical fish and look for dugong, dolphin and turtle before a fresh picnic lunch. Free afternoon with time to relax on Tangalooma beach.

Enjoy a fresh picnic lunch. Drive past aboriginal midden site at Spitfire Creek and ancient fish trap and on to wild Cape Moreton Lighthouse and breathtaking views to Flinder’s Reef.

Discover the secluded Honeymoon Bay and it’s pristine beach before making your way back to the ferry and your return cruise to Brisbane.
