The Barcaldine Rec Park is open for you to enjoy a wide range of water sports, non-water recreation or just sit on the deck and enjoy the lapping of the water. The lake is 1,100 metres long, 250 metres wide with a maximum water depth of 3.2 metres, and is compliant with international and Australian water skiing standards. The facility is approximately one kilometre from the town centre, so it is in easy walking distance for the local community and provides large areas for cars and trailer parking.
