Cultural and Theme Tours

Discover the people, places, and stories that illuminate the Queensland war experience at Anzac Square & Memorial Galleries – a free exhibition and cultural landmark located in Brisbane’s Central Business District.

Opened in 1930, Anzac Square is the State war memorial of Queensland; dedicated to the men and women who have served Australia in conflict and peace for more than a century.

Anzac Square is the place where Queensland remembers; where the echo of battles fought, and lives lost, resonate through time, connecting generations.

With the spectacular Shrine of Remembrance and Eternal Flame burning at its heart, Anzac Square is one of the city’s most iconic destinations.

Beneath the Shrine, visitors can embark on a free, interactive journey from WWI to today inside the Memorial Galleries; where stories of courage, resilience, bravery, and sacrifice are etched in the hearts and minds of all who visit, and where the Anzac Spirit is held in ever greater reverence.

Visitors can explore the galleries at their own pace or as part of a free 45-minute guided tour.

Anzac Square’s mission is to honour the memory of those who’ve served by preserving and sharing their lived experience, so the lessons of the past are never forgotten.
