First Artists: Exceptional Indigenous Art & Dining Experience for 10-25 guests.
First Artists: Evening Indigenous Experience for a minimum of 30 guests.

Experiences are co-designed by QAGOMA and 100% Indigenous-owned business Blaklash Creative and are also part of Cultural Attractions of Australia.

Feel enriched and awakened with an exclusive and unique evening of Queensland’s unique Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art and culture at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art. Find yourself immersed in memorable connections to Australian First Nations art, music, native food, dance, culture and storytelling.

After a beautiful Welcome to Country, hear from an Australian First Nations storyteller, artist and curator as they join you on a private tour of magnificent artworks.

Following the tour, enjoy an unforgettable dinner – where art meets food ― brought to you by First Nations Chef Chris Jordan , from Three Little Birds, in collaboration with QAGOMA’s Executive Chef Aaron Holt. Chris, a passionate advocate for native Australian ingredients, will share details of the delicious dishes being enjoyed.

Their First Nations storyteller, artist and curator will dine with you, continuing the conversation around art and culture throughout the evening, accompanied by live music and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance performances.

On departure guests receive a bespoke gift, courtesy of the QAGOMA Store and Aboriginal Art Co.

The evening commences with an exclusive tour of incredible artworks from QAGOMA’s Indigenous Australian Art Collection and the important stories they tell.

An interactive, hands-on activity follows led by a local Indigenous artist who will share traditional insights while encouraging guests to express their creativity.

The bespoke event includes inspired culinary delights from First Nations Chef Chris Jordan Three Little Birds in collaboration with QAGOMA’s Executive Chef Aaron Holt. Chris, a passionate advocate for native Australian ingredients, will share details of the delicious refreshments and canapes being enjoyed throughout the event.
