Coral Expeditions – Pristine Tasmania – 7 Nights

Adventure and Outdoors Tours

Coral Expeditions is Australia’s pioneering expedition cruise company now operating for 34 years. Travellers from all over the world come to us to enjoy our relaxed small ship atmosphere and itineraries to remote and unique locations which larger ships cannot replicate.
Our Tasmanian season starts by following the Sydney-Hobart Yacht Race departing 26 DEC 2019 arriving into Hobart for New Years Eve celebrations with the winners.
Our 7-night Pristine Tasmania expedition then operates JAN-MAR each year. Coral Discoverer taking up to 72 guests takes you to stunning pristine locations including the untouched South West wilderness of Port Davey and Bathurst Harbour. Expedition highlights include Maria Island with convict history and an abundance of native wildlife, sail past the 300m high dolerite sea cliffs at Tasman National Park, spot fur seals on the Isle de Phoques, hike scenic Fluted Cape at Bruny Island and indulge in delicious Tasmanian produce and local wines.

We have two departures a year “Coastal Treks of Tasmania” that focus on more adventurous coastal tracks for the serious hikers.

Experienced and knowledgeable Expedition Leaders and Guest Lecturers add an additional layer of education and interest to each journey. All excursions are included.

From $4990 to $7285

The seven-night coastal expedition cruise from Hobart to Hobart is an adventure showcasing the wild beauty and remarkable heritage of Australia’s island state, all in the yacht-like comfort of the Coral Discoverer.

Now it’s fourth season, this unique voyage combines the laid-back pleasures of relaxing on board as you cruise the magnificent and intimidating landscape, with daily excursions and activities suitable for all age groups.

Taking advantage of the long summer days in Tasmania, Coral Expeditions feature walks in three national parks and two World Heritage Areas, lead by their experienced Expedition team. Spend a day exploring the untouched Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area of Port Davey and Bathurst Harbour. Normally only accessible by boat, seven-day hike or light aircraft, this region is undoubtedly one of the most pristine and beautiful landscapes on earth. Absorb the surreal beauty and stories of intense hardship at Port Arthur during their private tour of the historic site.

Enjoy an outstanding menu of Tasmanian produce and local specialties. Complemented by a specialty curated wine list featuring a selection of Tasmania’s finest cool-climate varietals.

This expedition voyage through the coastline has been developed with local authorities paying particular attention to the ecosystem of the region.
