Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours

Adventure and Outdoors Tours

Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours is located on the beautiful Fraser Coast region, and their vessel navigates the beauty of the Great Sandy Straits Marine Park. They are the only tour operator in town to offer Indigenous experiences, either on the Turtle Discovery Tour for an active morning, the Milbi Sunset Cruise for a relaxing afternoon, and the Djinang Cultural Walking Tour for a rich walk.

Hervey Bay Eco Marine Tours is a local family-owned business, and they believe that to protect the planet, they must return to their roots. This is why they’ve created these tours.

Their vessel is proudly named “Milbi” which carries the Butchulla meaning for ‘sea turtle’. It navigates protected waterways only, and she is one of the largest glass bottom vessels in Australia.

Explore Round Island, Big Woody Island and/or Pelican Banks (tide dependent). Snorkel the reef, weather permitting or just relax. Join the search for turtles, dolphins, dugongs, fish colonies and seabirds. Time will be set aside for a refreshing swim in clear waters.

Through their cultural experience, you will learn about the oldest surviving culture on Earth. This is an incredible opportunity to view the stunning coastal wilderness through the eyes of a local Butchulla man. Their land and sea custodians have called this beautiful land home for thousands of years, and welcome you with open arms.

The Milbi, a purpose built glass bottom boat, gently navigates through the beauty of the Great Sandy Strait Marine Park.
Cruise through the Straits while joining the search for fish habitat amongst the coral reef, turtles, dolphins, sea bird colonies, and possibly a reef shark or dugong. Mother Nature will lead the way.

Time is spent on secluded Islands where you can swim or snorkel in crystal clear waters, play beach cricket or relax on the sandy beaches. As they only carry small numbers, your personalised experience is shared in a relaxed and friendly manner.

While it is their aim to offer the best marine experience possible, inclusions may vary to suit the most favourable weather for your comfort. The conditions determine snorkelling on the day.

Pram and Wheelchair Friendly. Dietary requirements catered for. Please mention when you book.
