Surfers Paradise Muscle Car Museum

Just a 5 minute drive from the centre of Surfers Paradise, you will find a Muscle Car Museum dedicated to purely Australian built or sold Muscle Cars and Bikes from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s.

When you enter you will encounter maybe Australia’s most famous movie star, or a perfect replica of it, the Mad Max Interceptor the dream car of generations of Australians, a truly amazing vehicle the visit to the museum is worth it for this car alone.

As you pass this iconic beast you will see a classic example of Australia’s first car the FX Holden sedan, and alongside an immaculate FJ.

In one of the other areas of the Muscle Car Museum you will find two great examples of the Ford GT along with a couple of Valiant Chargers that proved a 6 cyl could leave an 8 for dead.

As you progress through the displays you will come across two South African muscle cars, a Fairmont GT with a HO motor, and a truly unique car the 1972 Chevy SS .

The rest of the muscle car museum features nearly every model Monaro up until the late 70’s, a truly amazing collection of cars definitely worth a visit.
