The Great Artesian Basin Interpretive Centre is one of the Miles Historical Village Museum’s key attractions, a modern and contemporary display telling stories of our Ancient Guardians and their connection to the land; the formation of the Artesian Basin- its geology and the life that it provides our region from Agriculture through to Industry (Mining, Energy and Coal Seam Gas); Early Pioneering- the challenges and finding of groundwater; as well as exploring Environmental Change.
These stories are shared using a variety of methods from; objects and collection items; large Graphic Text/Image Panels through to Videography in the modern mini theatrette.
This attraction is part of the Miles Historical Village Museum.
