Natural Attractions

Brown Lake (Bummiera) is a naturally perched freshwater lake found just outside the township of Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah). The lake’s brown colour stems from the surrounding melaleuca and tea-tree bushland.

Bummiera holds cultural significance to the Quandamooka People, the Traditional Owners of Minjerribah.
