Tangalooma Island Resort 4WD Bus Safari Tours operate a fleet of 4WD adventure buses across a range of tours on the world’s third-largest sand Island, Moreton Island (Mulgumpin).

Operating daily from the Resort, your tour will be lead by an experienced tour guide giving you unrivalled access to the very best spots on the island. Some of our most popular tours include the 4WD Desert Safari Tour to the scenic edge of the Tangalooma Desert (featuring Sand tobogganing for all guests) , The Northern Safari Tour to Cape Moreton, North Point and Honeymoon Bay and the Southern Safari Tour to the Big and Little Sandhills, Mirapool lagoon and a spot of lunch at the iconic Gutter Bar. During Whale watching season there is also a land-based whale watching Safari to Cape Moreton.

Explore the Northern end of Moreton Island on this 4WD safari. Journey along the western beaches on the bay side of the island, passing through the townships of Cowan Cowan and Bulwer before arriving at North Point. From here the tour will visit the oldest lighthouse in Queensland at Cape Moreton. Take a scenic walk up the stepped track to the base of Cape Moreton lighthouse for stunning views of the turquoise waters below and keep your eyes peeled for the dolphins and turtles swimming there.

Afterwards, the tour will head back down the surf side of Moreton Island, otherwise known as the Eastern Beach, where wide sandy beaches stretch for kilometres. Enjoy a truly Aussie experience as this tour includes a damper morning tea.
