Gather and engage in critical discourse. Presented by Metro Arts and Studio1.

EXCHANGE afternoons are twice-yearly events in Brisbane, providing a platform for the SEQ arts community to gather, engage in critical discourse, and share/observe local ideas-in-progress. Curated by a guest Choreographer, each afternoon features two or three dance/physical theatre artists sharing their artistic ideas in a way that feels relevant to them.

The broader community is invited to watch and participate in a facilitated feedback session that encourages critical discourse among viewers and provides considered feedback for the involved artists.

These afternoons are designed to bring together a diverse community of dance artists, from emerging to established, promoting peer-to-peer learning, fostering new relationships, and invaluable community building. Studio1’s EXCHANGE is an opportunity for artists to gather, share ideas, and research while catching up with friends in Brisbane’s arts community.
