Varias Restaurant at The Queensland College of Wine Tourism

Expect fine dining with Granite Belt produce on the menu at the multi-award-winning Varias Restaurant. Onsite at The Queensland College of Wine Tourism, the restaurant overlooks the College’s own Banca Ridge vineyard.

Varias Restaurant is renowned for showcasing local food and wines and the hospitality skills of the talented young locals who prepare and serve them.

Morning tea and lunch are available Tuesday to Saturday, and dinners on Friday and Saturday evenings.

In winter, dine in front of the fireplace or enjoy dining on the deck overlooking the spring-fed dam and vineyard on warmer days.

Picnic Hampers and BBQ Packs are available for takeaway with 24 hours’ notice.

Varias Restaurant has won the ‘Best Restaurant in a Winery’ Category in the Queensland and Northern Territory Savour Australia™ Restaurant & Caterers HOSTPLUS Awards for Excellence for many consecutive years.

Wine taste at the College’s Banca Ridge Cellar Door, or experience the ‘Tastes of the Granite Belt’ cellar door, a beautiful introduction to the region’s wines, showcasing a wide variety of wines from wineries across the Granite Belt.

Conference and function facilities are also available.

The QCWT is a joint venture between the University of Southern Queensland and the Queensland Government, providing training and learning experiences in all things food, wine, tourism and hospitality, based within an accurate commercial operation.
