Whitsunday Airport is located at Flametree on the Whitsunday Coast, halfway between Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour.

The hub of most sightseeing and adventure services, the airport is also a private commercial airfield and residential estate. Services available from the Whitsunday Airport include charter flights to and from the islands and other destinations by arrangement, sky diving, helicopter joy flights and lessons, and scenic seaplane adventures to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach.
