Whitsunday Coast Airport

Cruise Terminals and Airports

The Whitsunday Coast Airport, also know as Proserpine Airport (PPP), is located at the heart of the Whitsunday region, 14 km south of Proserpine, Queensland. It is the practical choice to access all this spectacular region has to offer including Airlie Beach – a short 30 minute drive away.

The airport is serviced by five domestic carriers Qantas, Bonza, Virgin Australia, Jetstar and Skytrans. Virgin Australia, Jetstar and Qantas offer daily flights from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney. Bonza and Skytrans have direct flights from Newcastle, Sunshine Coast and Cairns.
Buses and taxis meet every flight to transfer guests to Airlie Beach, or to ferries to the island resorts. Car hire is also available at the airport.

The terminal is modern with public amenities, free wifi and a licensed café provides a variety of fresh food and drinks. This multi-award winning airport offers visitors a cozy and innovative experience. Right in the centre of Arrivals and Departure lounge travelers can enjoy a big 10-meter long aquarium that features over 100 different species of the region’s unique marine life. At the baggage carousel arriving visitors are greeted by a large format screen offering an augmented reality experience by surrounding them with local wildlife – including kangaroos, koalas, even humpback whales.
