Sturt Bay – Bush Campground
Where To Stay Warooka, Yorke Peninsula, South Australia
Sturt Bay Bush Campground is located approximately 13km south of Warooka, including 11km of unsealed road, via Sturt Bay Road. The sites are generous but the tight turning area makes it unsuitable for most large vans. Sites are unallocated – it is first in best dressed.
The Campground is just over the dunes from Sturt Bay, which has kilometres of beach to explore. It’s a great spot for swimming, snorkelling, fishing, kayaking and beach walking. The beach is mostly sand, but a reef is nearby and the seaweed can build up at times.
A toilet is provided, but self-sufficient camping is encouraged. The closest bin bank is in Warooka, at the town oval. Warooka has many facilities, including: a supermarket, pharmacy, butcher, hotel, petrol station, Visitor Information Outlet and more.
