Adelaide Zoo, one of Adelaide’s most iconic attractions, is home to more than 2,500 animals and 250 species of exotic and native mammals, birds, reptiles and fish exhibited over eight hectares of magnificent botanic surroundings.

The zoo offers a range of unique opportunities to get even closer to native and exotic wildlife. Connect with a gigantic giraffe as you feed them a tasty carrot, see Pygmy Hippo Obi munch through treats or go behind the scenes to feed Australasia’s only Giant Pandas, Wang Wang and Fu Ni.

Are you absolutely wild about pandas?

How would you like to tour Bamboo Forest before the zoo opens and to see our adorable Red Pandas eating their breakfast? After, watch Australia’s only Giant Pandas Wang Wang and Fu Ni bring in the new day with plenty of exploring around their exhibit.

Finish off your experience with morning tea at Wisteria Café and meet our other amazing animals on a guided tour around the rest of Adelaide Zoo.

Please note the minimum age for this experience is 6 years. (All children under 16 years must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult)

Mingle with our inquisitive Meerkat mob in this fun and interactive experience. Join a dedicated keeper in our Meerkats’ exhibit, get up close to these adorable animals as they run over your lap in search of tasty mealworm treats.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about these fascinating creatures, why not do it over breakfast – Meerkat style!

Our Meerkat group is very social and always has one or two sentries on duty keeping watch over the rest of the group. Meerkats by nature are very inquisitive and enjoy exploring new things, especially enrichment items designed to keep the group physically and mentally stimulated. And what better form of enrichment than human visitors with tasty treats!

As Adelaide’s leading paranormal investigators, Haunted Horizons have listened to and documented numerous reports of unusual happenings in and around Adelaide Zoo. Our first paranormal investigation just scratched the surface – now we’re ready to find out more.

Explore Minchin House, the Rotunda and the old Nocturnal House as we use state of the art paranormal equipment to uncover the mysterious and tell the stories behind the zoo and its animals.
