Emma Hack is an Adelaide-based artist working in the unique medium of body paint installation and photography, her work evokes a rich array of visual narrative and magical realism.
Exhibiting extensively throughout Australia since 1999, Emma’s artworks have captured the attention of collectors and art-lovers worldwide.
Emma has held successful solo shows in NYC, London, Hong Kong, Perth and Taipei. She has also exhibited at various art fairs around the world – Singapore, Brussels, Aspen, Stockholm, The Hamptons, Hong Kong, Milan.
Emma’s collaboration with musician Gotye resulted in the award-winning music video for Somebody That I Used to Know, viewed by over 550 million people worldwide. This has raised her profile in the US, UK and Europe. Emma has since worked on a major artistic commission for the Motor Accident Commission, SA, where she built a sculpture of 17 bodies, painted as a crashed car, again drawing worldwide attention to her craft.
Emma Hack Gallery is a beautiful gallery space, featuring themed exhibitions of Emma’s iconic works, Alongside her ‘SA Art Collective’ and ARTBAR, featuring SA based produce and wineries of the month. Placed within the city of Adelaide, its a short wander from the city centre.
