Carriage of Occasion offer a horse drawn carriage service available in any area of the state of South Australia. Based at Bletchley, in the Fleurieu Peninsula we offer a range of different tours, a choice of carriages and a variety of patient, reliable and beautiful horses.

Providing a service for weddings, funerals, special occasions or simply an enjoyable day out, we personalise our tours to suit your requirements.

Offering the unique Horse Drawn wine tour, which is perfect for a group of friends; perhaps for a hens day or birthday celebration, school holiday specials of Horse Drawn Bear Hunts, Behind the scenes tours where you can get up close and personal with their horses, or our Christmas light tours, there is sure to be something to tickle your taste buds.

Their hands on horse and carriage experience offers you not only the chance to enjoy a carriage ride through the beautiful countryside, you can also get up close and personal with our horses, brushing them, helping to harness up, and just enjoying hugging and feeding the rest of the herd.

Totally flexible with days and times, the experience goes for just over an hour, and is only AUD100pp (maximum group of 4).

Langhorne Creek is one of South Australia’s best kept secrets for cellar door tours. With a number of award-winning wineries within comfortable distance from each other on quiet country roads, their Horse Drawn wine tours create memories worth cellaring and trotting out at dinner parties!

Catering for groups, from 2 to 10 people, touring the cellar doors by horse and carriage, stopping to taste wine and embrace the local history.

Flexible with departure times and route, they can tailor an experience to suit your group, be it for a birthday, hens day or just a fun day out. Children more than welcome.

Dashing through the snow in a one horse open sleigh OK, so we don’t have any snow, and the sleigh bit- well this is pretty close. What better way to get into the Christmas spirit than by touring the Christmas lights of Strathalbyn, with your family or friends in a Horse-Drawn Carriage. Lasting approximately 1 hour, the tour travels an approximate 6km loop, viewing some beautiful Christmas light displays, with the joyful jingle of Christmas carols playing in the back ground. Delightful for young or old.

Join Carriage of Occasion during the school holidays, for a ‘Bear Hunt’ around the beautiful township of Strathalbyn. You will go over, around and through, while travelling in a horse-drawn carriage, to see if we can find the teddy bears!
