Seven Senses Adventures was created to show and experience our marvellous state in a way you have never experienced before. Each trip is designed to incorporate your five primary senses, plus your vestibular and proprioception senses, in an adventurous way.

Each day trip or overnight tour will keep you wondering what is going to happen next as we explore some amazing places and see things in our backyard you didn’t know existed.

Activities will incorporate your senses on land, on water and underwater. You can choose to go kayaking with dolphins, go snorkelling in crystal clear waters or with Giant Cuttlefish and Sea Lions, or choose one of our running or walking tours. Let them take you on a adventure you will not forget.

This amazing snorkelling trip is conducted in safe and shallow waters at Point Lowly 35km north-east of Whyalla. Records estimate approximately 110,000 Giant Cuttlefish aggregated to this area last year and these majestic creatures will migrate to these waters again from May to July. It is the only place in the world where they gather in such large numbers.

You will see the large bull males which can grow up to 50 cm and weigh over 10.5 kg put on the most spectacular colour displays to try and attract a female, and they really must show off, with 8/10 males to 1 female. They are sometimes known as the “chameleons of the sea” for their ability to change colours rapidly and blend into their surroundings. ‘South Aussie with Cossi’ has described this as “the premier marine attraction on the planet”. So, sign up with Seven Senses Cuttlefish Adventures and snorkel with the Giant Cuttlefish in a truly colourful way. We will wear our colourful op shop outfits over our wetsuits to be chameleons of the sea as well.

This tour is action packed to also incorporate all the top local attractions, so you will see more than cuttlefish.

The Melrose Running Festival is a must do event if you love nature, running and exploring South Australia’s beautiful Flinders Ranges in a small group with like-minded people. In preparation for the run, you will be given tips on tackling the course and taken for a guided walk over the first and last section of the course.

After the race, you will experience three of the best walks in the Mt Remarkable National Park. You will walk into the majestic narrows, dodge the ‘alligators’ inside Alligator Gorge and walk over the ripples of ancient seabeds. On the following day, you head to Hidden Gorge to be amazed by the high cliffs and amazing colours. Spot the rare Yellow Foot Wallaby, Peregrine Falcon or maybe a flowering Spider Orchid.

Learn about the uses and health benefits of Ochre and relax with nature in a secluded section of the Park where we listen to the rippling sound of water as we soak our sore legs and smell the essence of the great outdoors. Throughout the walks, there will be regular breaks with ample opportunities for photos and to relax, listen and smell nature.

Travel to Port Lincoln on a private bus, home of the rich and the seafood capital of Australia. Our accommodation is on the Marina where we board the luxury and stable MV Calypso Star for a 90 minute ride from Lincoln Cove Marina across Boston Bay to Cape Donnington and Hopkins Island where the Sea Lions reside. We spend up to an hour in the water with these curious and playful creatures. Having them come up close and mimic your moves makes for a truly amazing experience. After lunch and getting back our land legs, we tour Lincoln National Park.

We leave picturesque Port Lincoln for Whyalla and nearby home of the Cuttlefish, the chameleons of the sea. Approximately 110,000 Giant Cuttlefish aggregated to the Point Lowly area last year and the majestic creatures will migrate to these waters again from May to July for the sole purpose of sex. It is the only place in the world where they gather in such large numbers. You will see the large bull males put on the most spectacular colourful displays to attract a female and they really must show off, with 8/10 males for every female.

The best way to visit the Garden Island Ships’ Graveyard is by kayak. Take a tour with Seven Senses Adventures to get the story behind the wrecks and to guide you safely around, over and on the shipwrecks.

Each tour date is selected to see the shipwrecks at low tide for the best viewing and to safely negotiate the creeks with minimal tidal movement.

The 26 vessels known to have been abandoned in the North Arm section are a varied group of steamers, sailing ships, paddle steamers, dredges, barges, pontoons and ferries. They represent a significant chapter in SA’s maritime history and provide valuable insights into Port Adelaide and its maritime past.

The Garden Island area is also a Dolphin Sanctuary, so there is a very high chance of spotting some of the 30 resident Port River Bottlenose Dolphins, or pods of the 400 transient dolphins. Your guide will take you to secluded and very peaceful creeks covered by a 10,000 year old mangrove forest, where you will see schools of fish swimming past your kayaks.

The tour duration is between 4 to 5 hours depending on kayaking skill level of the group.

There will be stops to stretch
