Welcome to the Clare Valley Wine & Wilderness Trail, where the region’s natural beauty and premium food and wine products come together to create an unforgettable experience. This public trail offers the freedom to explore the entire 100km route or choose one of the six stages at your own pace.

As you traverse the trail, be prepared to be captivated by the region’s stunning landscapes and indulge in its renowned culinary offerings. The route takes you through a network of backroads, road reserves, and private properties, allowing you to witness the Clare Valley’s natural splendour up close. It passes by several cellar doors, offering the opportunity to sample exceptional wines and past some of the region’s renowned restaurants and cafes, where you can savour delectable dishes crafted from locally sourced ingredients, perfectly paired with the region’s wines.

– The trail is a moderate-grade hiking trail
– The trail travels on a network of backroads, road reserves & private property.
– The trail consists of 6 stages, each approximately 1-day walk.
