Pikes have launched two new bookable experiences; a private wine tasting and long lunch experience, both set in the picturesque Pruner’s Hut.
A purpose-built stone building, The Pruner’s Hut is an intimate venue which sits atop the highest point of the Pikes’ Estate, boasting stunning panoramic views of the surrounding vineyards.
Wine enthusiasts can enjoy a private wine tasting, hosted by one of Pikes’ knowledgeable Tasting Room staff members and features a curated selection of six wines alongside a gourmet cheese board. This private tasting allows guests to delve deeper into the history of Pikes and the unique terroir which produces their famous wines.
If, on the other hand, you are a passionate foodie, the long lunch experience is for you. It features a four-course modern Australian menu prepared by Slate Restaurant Head Chef, Louis Ritchie. Each course is then paired with one of Pikes’ Estate grown wines, creating the perfect food and wine indulgence.
These experiences can be booked separately or together and, while both are of an intimate nature, they provide guests with exclusive use of the unique Pruner’s Hut location.

Experience a hosted and private wine tasting in their unique hill-top location, The Pruner’s Hut.
Hosted by a dedicated member of their highly regarded tasting room team, this private tasting will take you on an educational journey through six of their estate grown wines. Enjoy your tasting alongside a gourmet cheese board, featuring three chef selected cheeses, house made lavosh, quince and honeycomb.
Take in sweeping views of their Polish Hill River Estate as you delve deeper into the history of Pikes and the unique terroir which produces their famous wines.
You and your guests will have private use of the unique Pruner’s Hut venue for 1.5 hours.
The cost of this experience is AUD100 per person and it is available daily from 11am.
