Grab your culinary passport for a day-long excursion to treat your tastebuds and dazzle your senses!

Travel to the gorgeous Emu Bay Lavender Farm for a morning tea of farm-made lavender scones and local apple cider as you breathe in the heavenly lavender scented air. Next is a stop at Kingscote for lunch and some free time.

Island Beehive is your next destination, where you will enjoy a tasting of some of the famous Ligurian Bee Honey that the island is known for. We highly recommend scooping up a tub of their honey ice-cream!

Onwards to American River. Don’t forget to keep an eye out for the local fur seals that love to lounge around the wharf as we head to the iconic Oyster Farm Shop. Kangaroo Island Oysters are shucked right there at the shop, freshly harvested, with a burst of salty goodness you’ll love.

Lastly, take a stop over and see some stunning views at the Penneshaw lookout along with Pelican Lagoon for a few photo-ops and the chance to spot some lazy kangaroos in nearby paddocks.

Enjoy panoramic views as you set off, including the amazing views at Pennington Bay, along the rugged south coast of Kangaroo Island. Pelican Lagoon provide glimpses of a few Australian birdlife favourites and don’t forget to keep an eye out for wild kangaroos!

Visit the township of Kingscote, the largest town on the island and South Australia’s oldest European settlement. Here you will enjoy a scenic drive past Reeve’s Point, originally designated to be the Capital of South Australia, a stop over at Island Beehive, and enjoy free time to explore the nearby beach, visit cafe’s and chat with locals.

Silo Art in Kingscote has become a fan favourite. Marvel at the largest Kangaroo in Australia and the Glossy Black Cockatoo. An amazing photo opportunity!

Immerse yourself in a day of Australian wildlife, gorgeous scenery, and some of Kangaroo Island’s most iconic nature locations.

Firstly visit Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery and enjoy a light morning break while keeping an eye out for the local Emu mob.

Head in to the iconic Flinders Chase National Park. The parks must-see sights include Admiral’s Arch, a beautiful natural rock arch shaped by the powerful Southern Ocean, and the sculptured granite boulders known as Remarkable Rocks.

Lunch is at the gorgeous Vivonne Bay, voted one of Australia’s top beaches. Next stop on this day of wildlife and sights is the Kangaroo Island Raptor Domain. You’ll enjoy the chance to get up close and personal with some of the most beautiful but deadly birds in the world.

Explore Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, with almost 150 native Australian wildlife and over 600 animals. You’ll stop by an Aussie Pub for lunch before heading to Seal Bay to see Australian Sea Lions in the wild. Stroll along the 900-metre boardwalk and spot Sea Lions snoozing on the beach, and sometimes under the boardwalk itself as your circumnavigate the endemic colony.

A friendly Seal Bay Expert will be your guide on your tour of the Australian Sea Lion colony, sharing insights into how the colony functions and the living, breeding and daily habits of these fascinating marine mammals. There are no enclosures or cages at Seal Bay, so you get to enjoy these amazing animals in their natural habitat.

A stop over at Pennington Bay will complete your half-day of sun, sand and marine life discovery.
