Neagles Rock Short Walk

Natural Attractions

Pack a picnic and take the short, adventurous climb to the Neagles Rock Lookout point and take in the magnificent views of the Clare Valley. The short walk features grassy covered hillsides with protruding red rock formations and is shaded by plenty of trees.

Neagles Rock is 455m above sea level, in the early days of European colonisation, the rock was a favourite picnic ground and remains a top lookout for the Clare Valley. Through the tireless work of volunteers, the site has been rehabilitated with the removal of wild lavender and contains many ecologically important flora species, including rare remnant Peppermint Box woodland and the nationally endangered Osborn’s Eyebright.
