The Strand Gallery

The Strand Gallery is located in an heritage listed building , formally the Post Office built in 1906. Port Elliot is approximately 1 hour drive South from Adelaide and is a popular destination for visitors with its beautiful beaches and dramatic seascapes. The gallery shows contemporary sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, paintings and photography from artists from the Fleurieu Peninsula. Exhibitions of new work are presented every 4 to 6 weeks. There is a specific focus on seascapes, nature and the environment. The gallery is connected to Thunderbird Restaurant which features local wines and seasonal produce and also shows work from the artists at the Strand Gallery.
