With an intimate knowledge of walking locations and habitat types within the Limestone Coast Conservation Parks and Forestry Reserves, this company delivers a variety of walking experiences from the Taste of the Aussie Camino to Caves > Cabernet > Coast – food, wine, nature and walking.

Taste of the Aussie Camino – Mary MacKillop Pilgrimage walk from Port MacDonnell to Penola. Inspired by the life and service of Australia’s only saint, Saint Mary of the Cross Mackillop and her mentor Father Julian Tenison Woods. This walk begins at Port MacDonnell where Mary boarded a boat to continue on her journey to sainthood, over four days walkers traverse across the Limestone Coast landscape to Penola.

Ghost Mushroom tours immerse visitors in the forest at night to view the glow of these intriguing fungi, tours are delivered in May and June.

Company owner and tour leader, Natasha Dawson is a qualified day bush walk leader, nature connection guide, has a degree in Ecotourism and has worked in the Limestone Coast Region as an environmental educator for the past 20 years.

From $25 to $50

May to June only. Come on a 30 – 45 minute guided adventure into the forest at night. You will learn some facts about the Ghost Mushroom and have time to let your eyes adjust to the dark so you can see the mushrooms glow in all their glory. Maximum group of 15 people.

The mushrooms glow white with the naked eye, the green glow can only be picked up by the long exposure of a camera not the naked eye.

This experience is suited to people with an average level of fitness. Warm clothes, closed-toe footwear and a torch are a must. The ground is irregular and uneven, with loose surfaces. As the glow of the Ghost Mushroom can only be seen after dark, visibility is also poor.

Please ensure you are clothed appropriately as no refunds are available after booking, if you arrive under prepared you may be asked to not accompany the walk for safety reasons.

Awaken your inner pilgrim on this 6 night/5 day Taste of the Aussie Camino experience.
