Masterclass – Getting into the Spirit

The revolution is here. The nation’s spirits look better than ever, and South Australia is leading the way.

Join host Duncan McRae for an eclectic tasting also set to feature Rose Kentish and Hugh Holds: fellow South Australians who know and love all things distilled. Winners from the latest Tasting Australia Spirit Awards are set to feature, together with other producers raising the bar.

The Adelaide-based McRae hails from Scotland and is co-founder of Woven Whisky, an award-winning blending house bringing fresh perspective to a traditional sphere.

A maker’s instinct drives Kentish, who created the artisanal Full Circle Spirits in celebration of South Australian flavours. Amaro, honey malt liqueur and green olive gin are among highlights of its coveted range.

Polemic Aperitif Lab is one of Adelaide’s newest craft distilleries. Holds is its founder: scholar of cocktail culture, premium wines and top-shelf spirits. His creations to date include pandan gin, a collaboration with local Thai restaurant Soi 38.
