Explore the History of Grenache at Sevenhill Cellars | Gourmet Week

Classes, Lessons, Workshops and Talks

17 May 2024 to 24 May 2024 Daily Event

This is a rare and exclusive chance to explore the history of the Grenache variety at the oldest winery in the Clare Valley. Sevenhill Cellars Winemaker Will Shields or Viticulturist Craig Richards will guide you through this two-hour experience and explore all aspects of the Grenache grape.

Recently winning two trophies for this variety, they want to share their successes with you with this behind-the-scenes tour. They will take you to the 100-year-old vineyard, explain heritage clones, discuss soil variances and show you how elevation can affect the vines and the end product.
Then, tour their underground cellar as they explain the processes of producing their three Grenache products. Finally, you will go through a tasting shared with a regional produce platter.

Sevenhill Cellars would love to have you join them for this unique experience.
