Hawker Visitor Information Centre

The Hawker Visitor Information Centre is situated on the corner of Wilpena and Cradock Roads in Hawker. It is a privately owned centre situated in Teague’s Hawker Motors.
They pride themselves with giving the Visitor that little bit extra with the information they require. Some of their employees were born in the area and others have lived in the area for a long time so have great local knowledge. Many visitors come to them seeking their family history.
Fred Teague’s Museum and the Hawker Seismograph Station are situated in the Centre. Besides all the relevant information and maps for the local area and State, they stock a great range of Australiana books and souvenirs.
They have been providing information to the visitor since 1952 when tourism was in its infancy.
The Hawker Visitor Information Centre is open every day except Christmas Day.
