Meningie Homestead
Where To Stay Bumberrah, East Gippsland, Victoria
Meningie Homestead is the quintessential country homestead perched atop a hill looking out over rolling hills, mountains and the Tambo River.
The house is well set up for a large family or group of friends with six bedrooms and five bathrooms across two wings and plenty of space and privacy for all. The central kitchen, dining and living room provides space for a large group and there is a pool table for use. It is also pet friendly with an outdoor safe area to leave your dogs if you need to.
A rustic fence separates the manicured lawn from the pastures which roll down to the private beach on the Tambo River. Your group can enjoy swimming and fishing in the river and there’s a rustic timber seat in the shade if you prefer to relax and take in the view.
There is an outdoor firepit to gather and share stories.
If you’re feeling energetic there are push bikes available for use and the East Gippsland Rail Trail is just at the end of the road.
There is plenty to do in and around Bumberrah – wineries, Metung and the beaches of Lakes Entrance. Enjoy the Metung Hot Springs, or go on a fishing charter from Lakes Entrance. You can even catch a river boat to Wyanga Park Winery.
