A piece of Victorian history and former home to the town founder, YHA Port Fairy backpackers hostel is one of the oldest heritage buildings in the seaside town. Ideally located in the town centre within walking distance to the beaches and river.
YHA Port Fairy has several types of rooms available from multi-share and private double and family rooms. Some of the rooms feature ensuite facilities. Port Fairy YHA also has a two bed roomed self contained apartment with a queen room and twin room (sleeps four).
The hostel has a large self catering kitchen and communal lounge facilities and a games room. With nice quiet gardens and barbecue area, it is perfect to base yourself whilst exploring the region.
Watch the fishermen unload their catch for the day, laze on the beach, learn to surf or stand up paddleboard, wander the wide streets lined with quaint nineteenth century cottages, and go to Griffiths Island to see the lighthouse and the shearwater colony. This charming fishing village is a must see.

These rooms are communal in that you will be sharing with other people. The rooms typically have bunk beds and have between four to ten people.
The Family Room for four have a queen sized bed and a bunk bed. This room features shared bathroom facilities. Bed linen is provided.
A private room with shared bathroom facilities. The room will have one double or queen sized bed, for two people.
The Family Room for six also feature a bathroom. This room has two singles that join to be a king bed and two sets of bunks. Port Fairy YHA provides bed linen for all beds and towels.
A room with two single beds with shared bathroom facilities. These rooms are upstairs in the old loft and the bathroom is downstairs.
During covid we are using our 4 share dorms as twins and they have bathrooms close by.
The Two Bedroom Self Contained Apartment has one room with a queen and the other has two singles. It has its own bathroom, lounge and full kitchen and shares laundry facilities with the hostel.
A private garden and barbecue is also available to use. Linen and towels are provided.
A room with one single bed, for one person only. This room is upstairs in the loft and the bathroom is downstairs.
