A short stroll from Daylesford town centre Lake Daylesford offers something to keep everyone happy. Children love bird spotting and the playground is always a hit. Lake Daylesford is a manmade lake, originally a site of gold diggings, then later a Chinese market garden. The construction of the lake began in 1927 and was and still is used for many recreational activities.

Take the Peace Mile walk around Lake Daylesford. This gentle stroll is 2.8km’s and takes approximately 40 minutes. The surface is compacted gravel with some boardwalk sections. Extend your walk from Central Springs Mineral Pumps along the Goldfields Track towards Twin Bridges and Hepburn Springs or towards Sailor’s Falls and Creswick.
