The cruise between Williamstown and St Kilda is 25-30 minutes each way. The cruise between Williamstown and Port Melbourne is 15-20 minutes each way. You can choose a Return trip or a One-Way trip.

Come aboard The Sunset Penguin Cruise for an unforgettable opportunity to view Little Penguins that live in the St Kilda Pier rock wall. This cruise is one-hour duration.

The Coastal Flyer vessel has the capacity to carry four bicycles – please book over the phone to confirm the details.

The Coastal Flyer departs from Gem Pier when leaving Williamstown, Beacon Cove when leaving Port Melbourne and from St Kilda Pier when departing St Kilda.

Services

The St Kilda breakwater is home to nearly 1,500 Little Penguins. Each night, after a big day of fishing, rafts of these incredible little creatures swim back home, climb up onto the rockwall, and nestle in their burrows for the night.

St Kilda Ferry Sunset Penguin Cruises depart from St Kilda Pier approximately 15 minutes before sunset. Alternatively, there is the option for pick up/drop off at Gem Pier Williamstown. Cruise departure times and days vary depending on the season and weather conditions. Be sure to check the website for the most up to date information.

St Kilda Ferry values environmental sustainability and practices ecotourism by prioritising the wellbeing of the penguins and other marine life. Dogs, fishing gear and white torches are not permitted on Penguin cruises.
