Endeavour Fern Gully

Natural Attractions

Endeavour Fern Gully is a 28-hectare National Trust property that encompasses the headwaters of Stony Creek and features an un-spoilt fern gully.

This Gully is one of the rare surviving areas of this type of indigenous bushland found on red basaltic soil in the Mornington Peninsula. A 2km nature trail provides easy access along the Gully and through the woodland.

Rare plant species can be found and the Fern Gully is a vital source of habitat and food for a wide variety of animals and birds. It is a critical part of a wildlife corridor in the Stony Creek area forming habitat links in this highly fragmented area.

Open daily, the property includes a 30 – 45 minute, 2km loop walking track with interpretive signage.

The entrance is located opposite the Red Hill Recreation Reserve on Arthurs Seat Road. The walk is closed on total fire ban days.
