Swainsona Reserve

Natural Attractions

Swainsona Reserve is a very special and peaceful place, taking its name from the endangered Smooth Darling Pea, Swainsona galegifolia, which grows in the vicinity. It is one of the two remaining remnant populations of Smooth Darling Pea in North-East Victoria.

The local parklands team continues to work in partnership with the Victorian Department of Sustainability and Environment in a species recovery program for the Pea.

Please stay to the walking track for the best experience and to conserve the native flora and fauna.
