Presidents Park

Parks and Gardens

Best known for the adventure playground, Presidents Park is also a great spot for dogs and to enjoy walks along the Werribee River.

The playground, skate park and barbeque pavilions are a big hit with families, especially in the late afternoon and on weekends. The adventure playground has equipment for both younger and older children, including climbing walls, swings and cubby houses. It’s a great place to catch-up with family and friends.

Take the 2km walk around the park. You can follow the path along Werribee River and enjoy the soundtrack of native birds or take a seat by the lake for some quiet contemplation along the way. The shared paths can be accessed from all entry points and the paths link with trails that will take you into Werribee or surrounding suburbs.

It’s not all action – all the time. If you’re looking for a quiet escape the best times to enjoy the park are early mornings and during the day.

Presidents Park is the perfect outing for your dog too. There is an off-lead dog park, a dog obedience club and dogs are permitted off lead along most of the shared paths. In the warmer months your dog will love a swim in the lake.

Within Presidents Park you’ll also find some of the city’s major sporting grounds, including hockey, softball and baseball.
