Gulf Station began in the 1840s as part of a 25,000 acre run property known as the Gulf, and was owned by the Bell family for the best part of 100 years until 1951.

Gulf Station is one of the oldest and most intact examples of a pioneer farm complex in Australia. Take a self-guided tour around the property’s homestead and outbuildings and be transported into the domestic life of a rural colonial family where a mother’s word was law.

Gulf Station hosts regular events and activities including talks, workshops and lost tradition days where you can see working horses, sheep being shorn, butter being made in traditional churns and wood being worked without using power tools.

Gulf station is open on the First Thursday and Last Sunday of each month. See website for times and to plan your visit.
