27 Apr 2024 to 28 Apr 2024 Once Only Event
Immerse yourself in design development, screen printing and bag-making with Nicola Cerini.
Over a period of two days, you’ll create your own screen printed fabric and combine it with leather components to make a beatiful and functional crossbody bag.
On day one, you’ll learn to screen print. You’ll play with a simple and effective Screen-Printing technique using cut-paper stencils to create beautiful prints ready to turn into a bag. You’ll print fabric for your bag, along with a linen tea towel and denim apron with the designs you’ve created in the workshop.
On day two, we’ll make a crossbody bag by assembling the printed fabric you created and leather components into a functional and stylish accessory.
Held at Ballarat’s Australian Centre for Rare Arts and Forgotten Trades, a world-class facility dedicated to learning and preserving Australia’s rare arts and trades through a series of workshops, masterclasses, events, and residencies.
