Australian Classic Movie Night: Smiley

The Chiltern Lions Club presents a unique Movie Night Experience at Chiltern’s Star Theatre. Main Street, Chiltern. The film this month is ‘Smiley’ from 1956 starring Colin Peterson, Chips Rafferty, Ralph Richardson, Reg Lye, John McCallum.

Smiley Greevins is a cheeky, mischievous imaginative little boy who lives in a small township in the Australian outback. His father is a poor drover who is often away from home and is very fond of the drink. Smiley is determined to buy himself a bicycle so he takes on odd jobs to save enough money but he always seems to get caught up in all sorts of misadventures.

The night includes barbeque tea, film showing, discussion about the film, actors and themes, followed by supper of scones with jam and cream FLICS membership. A great social night!
