Wayward Winery

Produce

Located in Waubra, just twenty minutes outside of Ballarat, this slice of paradise is situated on the side of the dormant volcano Quoin Hill which allows for stunning sunsets over the Pyrenees Ranges as well as perfect conditions for growing the four varietals of grape, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Shiraz.

The recently renovated sixty seat restaurant, gives their chefs Bailey and Jayden, a space to showcase local produce as well as produce grown on site. With an emphasis on cooking with fire, their chefs use both an Argentinian grill and a large wood fired pizza oven to deliver their seasonal menus which boast dishes that are curated to reflect what is in season and available at the time.

Planning is in the final stages to develop accommodation in the form of multiple eco-friendly tiny homes, as well as offering the 1920s homestead as a place to rest and recharge after exploring what the Pyrenees region has to offer.

Whether it’s a long lunch, your next function or a wedding amongst the vines, they look forward to welcoming everyone to Wayward Winery.
