Karijini Eco Retreat is one of Australia’s leading eco-tourism attractions, situated 1,500 kilometres north of Perth in Western Australia’s second-largest national park.
The retreat offers safari-style eco tents, cabins and campsites nestled in beautiful bushland at the edge of Joffre Gorge (Jijingunha), along with a popular outback restaurant and bar, camp bush kitchens with barbeques, a kiosk supplying snacks and souvenirs, guided tours, and access to the Park’s walks, hiking trails and guided tours.
Stay under the stars in the campground, or in comfortable tented accommodation at the first and only facility to offer a glamping experience in the Karijini National Park, while experiencing a taste of genuine mateship and friendly hospitality.

The Luxury Eco Tents offer an exclusive experience like no other, with bespoke design, furnishings of natural wood, leather, and cotton materials, local Aboriginal artwork, air conditioning/heating, a private en suite bathroom with stone bench tops, an indulgence of space, and pristine bushland views of the spectacular Karijini National Park.
All the accommodation incorporates eco-friendly designs and practices to ensure sustainable management of the natural and cultural values of one of the most ancient landscapes on earth.
Rates include an a-la-carte breakfast, picnic lunch hamper with an insulated backpack, complimentary mini-bar, ‘bush butler’ service, daily housekeeping, and priority restaurant booking.
The Luxury Eco Tent features high-end interiors, one king bed with hotel-quality bedding and linen (option to add sofa bed), a lounge area, a mini fridge, and tea and coffee-making facilities.
There is a fully enclosed private en suite bathroom with a flushing toilet, a solar hot water shower and basin, luxury bathroom amenities, cotton towels, and a hairdryer. The tent also has an in-room safe, a front deck with a table and chairs, double sliding glass entry doors, canvas walls and roof, and large zip-down windows.
Solar power operates the individual air-conditioning/heating, ceiling fan, lights, and power points.

There is a fully enclosed private ensuite bathroom with a flushing toilet, solar hot water shower, basin and nourishing amenities. The tent also has an in-room safe, a front deck with a table and chairs, double sliding glass entry doors, canvas walls and roof, and large zip-down windows.

The Eco Tents are semi-permanent structures that incorporate ecologically sustainable principles and can easily be erected and dismantled in remote areas with little impact on the natural environment using recycled materials wherever possible.
A Deluxe Eco Tent features spacious and stylish interiors, with one king-size bed, two single beds, or one king and one bunk bed. Quality bedding and linen – 100% cotton sheets, brushed cotton blankets, and bath towels are provided.
You have your own private en suite bathroom with a flushing toilet, solar hot water shower, and basin, solar-powered lights, minimal power for low-wattage appliances (charging camera battery/mobile phone/iPod), an in-room safe, as well as a front deck with table and chairs.
The rooms are serviced every four days. Solar hot water temperature is supplied by the sun and can be affected by weather conditions.

Guests staying in the Standard Eco Tents have the use of shared ablutions including flushing toilets, solar hot water showers, and basins.

Blankets Linen supplied Outdoor FurnitureCosy accommodation suited to couples, groups and families, the Eco Cabins offer basic, comfortable accommodation. They are small but big in value!
These compact cabins are in pods of two and feature a small fan, reading lights, and a shared outdoor seating area connecting the two cabins. Large windows offer stunning vistas toward Joffre Gorge.
Guests have the use of shared ablutions including flushing toilets, solar hot water showers and basins.
Eco Cabin features compact hard-walled accommodation with large windows and bush views, one zip king bed, two single beds, or two bunk beds. Quality bedding and linen – 100% cotton sheets, brushed cotton blankets, bath towels are provided.
Shared bathroom facilities include flushing toilets and solar hot water showers. There is limited solar power available – reading lights, a small fan and 12 voltage power outlet (socket compatible with a car cigarette lighter charger), individual lockers (bring your own padlocks or buy at reception). Guests have access to a shared decked seating area with tables and chairs.

Blankets Linen supplied Lockers Outdoor FurnitureKarijini Eco Retreat’s Campsites are suitable for tents, campervans and caravans. Maximum occupancy is one vehicle (plus tent, trailer or caravan) and up to six people per site. All vehicles must be parked on a designated site. To keep the eco status, the sites are unpowered.
Camping features include shared bathroom facilities with flushing toilets and solar hot water showers, and an undercover bush kitchen with gas barbeque, sink, preparation area, and seating for those looking to self-cater.
There is a kiosk selling cold drinks, ice creams, confectionery, takeaway tea and coffee, and ice, as well as a range of unique Karijini souvenirs. There is also an on-site restaurant and bar with takeaway options.
Please note: Generators are welcome to be used in the camping loops between 4pm – 8pm daily. Please bring your own cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The solar hot water temperature is supplied by the sun and can be affected by weather conditions, and hot showers are not guaranteed.
