Woodlands of Bridgetown

Bed and Breakfast

Woodlands of Bridgetown Bed and Breakfast is a gracious, historic home. It is a rare find, a rural retreat that captures the ambience of a bygone era and genuine country hospitality.

Established in 1894, the homestead features two queen guest rooms that emanate the elegance of yesteryear, yet offer the indulgences of today. One can also relax in the antique-furnished sitting room with its cosy fireplace and collection of books. Following a restful night’s sleep, a hearty home-cooked breakfast is served in the period dining room.

A wander around Woodlands reveals rolling views of the countryside, roaming cattle, abundant bird life, fragrant cottage gardens, a gazebo to gaze from and a tennis court if one is feeling active.

Take a step back in time. Phyllis and Bruce invite you to Woodlands of Bridgetown.

Upon opening the door to this room of soft pink hues, you will be lulled into an era of elegance, a sense of sanctuary, a place where time has seemingly stood still.

Breathe in the beauty of crimson camellias beyond the window panes, the airy ambience of a soaring ceiling, the chic shine of polished floorboards and the visual bouquet of delicate patterns adorning quilts and cushions.

Sink into the sparkling spa and muse for a while. Sip an aperitif or a warm brew in the sitting room later in the evening. Flick through an old book or enjoy some television before turning the lights out. Finally, fold back the covers and sleep soundly in the pillow-plumped, queen-size brass and iron bed.

Sweet reprieve!

Decorated in clotted creams and cornflour blues, this room captures a sense of dreamy blue skies and flaxen fields. Gaze at the heavens through the unique roof-top window. Watch the clouds float by on lazy summer days or stare out at the shimmering stars of night or the waning moon whilst tucked-up in crisp cotton sheets.

Wash away your weariness in the spacious en suite with a range of rich, natural body products and dry off with soft, fluffy white towels. After an invigorating shower, relax in the sitting room with a cuppa, read a little or take a stroll around the garden before heading out for the evening.

Relish the simple joys and pleasures in life!
