Where To Stay Fitzroy Crossing, Derby-West Kimberley, Western Australia
Crossing Inn is a historic pub with accommodation located on the Fitzroy River. It is the oldest licenced pub in the Kimberley – on its original site!
Nestled in native bushland, the Crossing Inn retains its charm and character from days gone by. The Inn has welcomed travellers and locals since its establishment in 1897 by Joseph Blythe.
The Crossing Inn sponsored the local youth to do paintings for the outside walls of the 100-year-old hotel. The walls of this popular and historic hotel are now a tourist attraction in their own right and are a wonderful museum of local heritage, culture and art.
They have a wide range of accommodation types – motel, family, and workers’ rooms. Both short and long-term, options are available on request. The Camping and Caravan Park is set amid shady trees with access to a camp kitchen, barbeque, picnic tables, laundry room, and other amenities.
