Rocky’s Retreat
Where To Stay Takalarup, Plantagenet, Western Australia
Rocky’s Retreat is a little hobby farm of 28 acres with views of the Porongurup Mountain Range. Tucked away in quiet Takalarup, it is surrounded by nature, in particular – amazing bird life! Kangaroos are often seen jumping through the paddocks at dusk.
The sunsets from the campsite over the Porongurup Ranges are a great way to finish each day at Rocky’s Retreat. Meet our friendly resident sheep, pellets are available to feed them, and they love pats!
Exclusive bookings allow guests privacy and plenty of space. Well-behaved, socialised, on-lead pets are welcome too.
The property makes a great base camp for day trips to Denmark, Albany, Mt Barker, Stirling Ranges and the Porongurup Ranges. Rocky’s Retreat is located approximately 40 kilometres from Mt Barker, 50 kilometres from Albany, 15 kilometres to Porongurup National Park and 45 kilometres to Stirling Range National Park. Within a short drive, you can find incredible local wineries, cafes and restaurants.
This is a hosted stay through Hipcamp.
